A series of cartoons to illustrate a health and safety manual on building site regulations. Thankfully this market is increasing now. Perry, Scott Nash are a new customer and openly admit that due to the nature of these booklets, ie very information led, that bright cheerful cartoons are just what they need to help get the message digested.
This is admittedly just a selection of the order, but it give some idea of what they were after
They were very happy with what they got from me and say that there will be more work to come which is always a good thing to hear.

Roaming in the classroom
Here's the latest of my editorials.
A school in South Shropshire has decided to teach the children about Roman times, and to do it they've had them dress up in the full regalia of Roman soldiers--- they've even drafted someone from Northumbria who does this full time, albeit on the ramparts of Hadrians wall, to march them through the town and onto Wattling Street.
All this comes on the back of the remains of an old Roman fortress having being recently discovered in the area.
I've used the infamous class 3b again in this cartoon as if anything bad is to happen in the schooling system, my 3b class will be the ones to instigate it.

Editorial Update
Here's a collection of some of the newspaper editorials I've been doing. I love this work, local people are far more entertaining in what they get up to than in the Nationals
Enjoy

Working for the Future
Well, once again its been very busy; I've been doing the Dandy annual work for 2012. I always feel weird after doing this and I often think: I wonder what I'll be doing when these come out. The last time this happened, in the two year interim, I had a grandson and one of my daughters, who'd just met her boyfriend, got married. So who knows what the next two years will bring
Lots of work, I hope, and more happy children!

Anyway, here's a sample--- this blogging programme wont let me upload any more in one go--- There's no words as they put them in at head office in Dundee.

Low Flying Twitters
I live in an area where low flying by the RAF is a real problem, but when they said they were going to go onto Facebook and Twitter to keep the public updated as to their 'up down, flying around' stuff, I just thought it was bonkers...I mean, can you imagine their Facebook quotes; RAF have just become a fan of: Don't you hate it when you blow up the wrong target. Or posting comments like: RAF have just become friends with Roger, Wilko and Bravo lmao :)
Don't these bozos understand the theory of secrecy? And what will their 'Invite a friend' page be like. Will it have: You, USAF, NAVY and 6 others are mutual friends with RAF...and don't even get me started on their Twitters.
Anyway, by way of poking fun at them I produced this cartoon

Longleat Lions
I've had many commissions from the Longleat marketing department but this one stood out as just a great idea.
They were having the roof re leaded and as a result the house was surrounded with scaffolding. They wanted to make it an exhibition rather than an eye sore, so I was given the task of producing these cartoons to be super imposed onto their photos for a child visitors aid.
I liked it, and it was fun.
As ever, click on the image to enlarge.
