Most people have that certain thing in their life that they keep going back to from time-to-time: it may be a desire to hike around the world, or buy that stupidly impractical red sports car, or maybe its the book you always said you'd write when you had more time.
Well for me its Pixy Wood. I've lost count on the times I've dusted it off, re vamped it, looked at it from another angle or taken it down a completely new avenue. Pixy Wood is, for me, 'my thing'.
Ever since I sat at my Grandad's feet, and listened to his wondrous tales of the Little People, I've been lost to the far off time he evoked with such magic and mystery.
So over the past few weeks--- in between everything else that keeps my days exciting--- I've been slowly producing the art for four fully illustrated pages; writing the whole story, building up a synopsis and generally readying Pixy Wood to be sent off to comic book publishers.
I've posted a few sample pages below and at the start of this post I also placed a character sheet that outlines all the major players; although ,Spicer, Connor MacDermott, Rock Face, the Imps and a few others are not there; but they are in the finished story.
If I can't get a buyer for this project I may very well give it its own Kickstarter project and see if I can't raise the funds and launch it myself...if not only to lay it to bed and say that I finally did something about 'my thing' and hopefully pass on some of the magic I discovered while sitting at my Granddad's feet.
But finding a buyer would be nice...
On a final point---and seeing as we're talking graphic novels and comics here---don't forget about that other great project of mine and come back tomorrow for the next weekly instalment of Brabbles & Boggitt.
For those of you who are new to my site and therefore have no idea what I'm talking about, click here and go to the Brabbles & Boggitt archives to read the whole story from the beginning. You won't be disappointed, it's now the biggest draw on my site.

If you like my blog and the things that I say and do, please tell your friends; mention me on Facebook, Twitter and any of the other fine social media networking sites you use. I would love to have my work reach a much larger audience and although I could no doubt eventually get there under my own steam, I'll get there a lot quicker with your help, so please, please spread the word.
Thank you
