Copying is the sincerest form of flattery!

Or so they say. But I think the sincerest form a flattery is when someone copies 'your' art. And today that is exactly what has happened.

I have had many people copy my art in the past but it has always been from characters I've produced for the UK comics market; therefore not my characters; just ones that I've been asked to produce. But today, a very talented young lady called Tia Powell, from West Wales, did me the great honour of rendering our very own Brabbles & Boggitt and sending it to me.

Apparently she agonized over the form and structure and probably drew and re-drew before sending me her favourite. Well all I can say is thank you very much Tia, you have done my little creations proud and you should be very pleased with what you have done.

I showed the boys their pictures and Brabbles laughed uproariously and said it showed off his brilliant side and Boggitt  simply smiled quietly, and from Boggitt that is praise indeed, as he tends to keep his thoughts to himself.

But generally it's a thumbs up from the boys Tia!

Anyway, they've gone off to produce more pages of their story for Friday...well Boggitt is doing all the work while Brabbles gives direction, or as he says: 'His brilliant advice, which is, well quite frankly, brilliant!' Nothing new there then.

If you have any fan art from anything I draw I am always delighted to see it. It doesn't matter what age group you are I am more than happy to post, and if you have a website or blog I will definitely link to it for you.

Right, I'd better get going, I can hear the boys arguing over the stories direction.See you all on Friday.

I said a few weeks ago---that as we approached the ending of this particular Brabbles & Boggitt tale--- I would be producing a few changes and then showing the you the before and after images below.

Well, my faithful readers, this is one such page. My plan was to change one panel, which, due to its construction, led to another panel, then another and another; in the end all that was left of the original page was the first two panels.

So for you, this week, I have virtually re drawn an entire page, but for you, I think it was worth it; and set out below is the page before the changes...what do you think?

On another point, we now only have six more weeks until the end of this particular tale and I am already well into the construction of the next Brabbles & Boggitt story called, tentatively, 'The Elves, the Shoe Maker and the Frog', where we see Brabbles go into two business ventures. The first being a sweat shop and the second as a royal relationship consultant while Boggitt...

well why don't I just tell you on another post while also giving you a sneak preview of some of the new crazies I've created for this tale.

Story so far: Boggitt has arrived in town with their latest (and first) client of the newly formed Brabbles & Boggitt, Attorneys at Law. Neither of them are qualified to practice law but Brabbles' theory on life is: 'there's not a thing in the world that there isn't a book on in the Library'.

The story so far: Goldilocks has appointed Brabbles and Boggitt as her legal representation against the 3 Bears in a case of squatters rights. Boggitt has already gone into the town to be---as he puts it---brilliant with the towns' folk. Now that Boggitt has all the details he needs its time for him to go and research some good, sound legal advice, but he has to take their somewhat over enthusiastic client along with him...

The story so far: Brabbles & Boggitt have wandered into a new business venture---this time as successful lawyers. As usual Brabbles, the ridiculously over confident yellow mouse, has come up with the scheme to represent the sweet and innocent looking Goldilocks in her class A suit against the 3 Bears and are trying to have them evicted on the grounds of them being illegal squatters.

Boggitt, never a willing participant in Brabbles' hair brained business schemes, has been landed with the job of building a case for the seemingly innocent little Goldilocks. And having taken all the details he is ready to set off into the town...
