I loved doing these two so much---They were not only local stories but national issues. Hope you all enjoy.

Brabbles & Boggitt

I published two of these stories in Europe and the end of 2003. They were greatly received and much liked.

The idea was simple: I take old nursery rhymes or fairy tales and give them a modern twist. The one shown was of Goldilocks and the 3 Bears, in my version Goldilocks uses her sweet image to gain squatters rights on innocent peoples homes thus increasing her property portfolio. Once she's secured the house it's onto the next scam. Boggitt sees through her and does his best to expose Goldilocks for what she is.

I'll be printing these up soon and looking for a market for them in the UK

Detention camps

So I hear on the news that ex soldiers are going to be asked if they'd become teachers, or at least train to be so. I think it's a great idea, especially in the inner cities; hell they need some discipline. Mind you, some of these inner city schools have got the nuclear deterrent now...or so I've heard

Christmas is Comming

Here's a few designs I've been asked to produce in the past for Christmas cards. I love the card work, the only weird thing is they usually need to be done around August time; Listening to Christmas carols while trying to get into the spirit and wearing your Bermuda shorts is an odd feeling, and sight I should imagine!

Chip 'n' Gail

Ive just started a new cartoon strip for Get Woodworking.com about the DIY catastrophes of a woodworking enthusiast called Chip.

The strange thing is that the character is one that I actually invented while still at school, only then he was called Odd Job. A good case, I think you'll agree, to never throw an idea out completely as you never know when its time might come.

I've also written a little story beneath the strip and like the main character, the stories are based around the real life Chip---My father

Follow this link to read the strip, and while you're there, have a look around the rest of the site; it is most excellent.

Salt of the Earth

The local council's have proved that they're just like clothes shops and catalogues when it comes to the thought process: They buy their winter salt in summer and presumably sunglasses and suntan when we're all under forty foot of snow.

This story from one of the papers I draw for is on one of my favorite themes; the numpty jobsworths at the council.

On another note, I recently found out that the council workers collect my cartoons and put them up on their bulletin boards---obviously they're very proud of their numptyness

Grandma

Well I have been a busy little bee.

I've been working on a few projects at the same time recently: A novel, comic book pages, specialist strips and this...Grandma; of which I've added a few samples.

It's a single panel idea that I'd ideally love to see syndicated all over the world---I've sent it out to the big nine American syndicates and have my fingers crossed.

The feature centres around an old lady who has been caught in the headlights of an old age she wasn't quite prepared for. She has to deal with a grandson who has an over active imagination, a dog that weighs roughly the same as a small hatch back, the amorous advances of a widower who keeps mixing his vitamins with his Viagra and all the other myriad problems that befall us when we reach our golden years.

Anyway, I've set a few out for you below---Hope you enjoy. As always, to enlarge just click on the picture
